Originating in the Mountains of Central Pennsylvania in the forgotten railroad city of Altoona, Chris Vipond and the Stanley Street Band represents all of the musical styles from all of the years of Chris’s musical journey.  He writes songs about individuality, the creative process, love, social protest, Big Brother, disconnectedness, big dreams, and little dreams, all the while trying to speak the truth through the music.

Chris Vipond and the Stanley Street Band have performed alongside Grammy Award winner/Rock and Roll Hall of Famer Dr. John, Grammy Award winner Del McCoury, Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Member Bernie Worrell as well as Steve Kimock, The Clarks, Paul Stookey (of Peter, Paul, and Mary), New Riders of the Purple Sage, Anders Osborne, Devon Allman, Cyril Neville, The Smithereens, Dopapod, The Werks, Tom Hamilton’s American Babies, and other national acts as well as numerous regional acts.
